Although search engines still index dynamic URLs, shorter, static pages may help improve your rankings. Once installed, this mod will automatically convert your stores' dynamic PHP product detail pages into simpler HTML ones without having to manually make them all.
For example, a product detail page may take the form of www.yourstore.com/proddetail.php?prod=test With this mod installed, the URL will become a much neater www.yourstore.com/test.htm
All your old product page URLs will also be automatically forwarded to these static ones. You can see a demo on our site here - just check the page URL!
Important Note In order for this mod to function, you will need to ensure that your host supports a 'mod_rewrite' function. Most do, but it's important to check just in case!
